Viskocil wins pole vault at Maverick indoor meet

Tri-City United (TCU) senior Eli Viskocil won the pole vault competition Saturday, March 23 at the Belle Plaine Indoor Invitational held at MSU-Mankato.
Viskocil cleared 8-feet to claim the title.
TCU scored 32.5 team points to place fourth in the meet. Belle Plaine (114), Sibley East (62.5), and Glencoe-Silver Lake (38) were the top three teams.
Second place performances were turned in by Gavin Phelps in the 55-meter hurdles (9.73), Lucas Holicky in the long jump (18-feet, 2 1/2-inches), and the 4 x 400-meter relay team of Viskocil, Phelps, Grant Fitterer, and Eric Borchardt (3:57.68).
Placing third was Holicky in the 60-meter hurdles (9.55).
